Shenandoah Valley – Waterfalls
I think that the most spectacular things L and I saw while on our Tinymoon were the waterfalls. We hiked approximately 10 miles total over the course of the trip, and trekked a small portion of the Appalachian Trail. We saw two impressive waterfalls, and I was able to get some decent photos of the Dark Hollow Falls. It was very misty that day, which made the trek down into the valley surreal. I’ve documented our journey here.

The path we took on the way to Dark Hollow Falls.
A view from the path, close to the waterfall.
The final part of our trek toward the waterfall.
The beginning of Dark Hollow Falls
An ethereal view of the falls.
Same as the above image, only in color.
Another view of Dark Hollow Falls.
The falls from behind a tree.

L and I in front of the waterfall.
This is an interesting looking tree with lichen growing on it that I found on our hike back up from the falls.
One of the few changed leaves we found in the valley.
Appalachian Trail white blaze!
