St. Louis Arch

Here are a few arch photos from my trip to St. Louis last year.  I traveled there for the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) conference.  I hope that you enjoy them.

The arch in St. Louis, MO.  The people standing in front of it (bottom left) give you an idea just how massive it is.

Here is another shot of the arch at dusk.  It looked much different than I had imagined, and it was also much bigger.  For whatever reason, I expected it to be made of stone (like the monuments in DC), but the arch is made of steel.  It looks almost alien when you are near it because of its size.
