Rebranding
My lovely wife has encouraged me to “rebrand” my blog. Since I am in love with our adopted “son” (a.k.a. our dog, Kanga) she suggested that I name the blog after him.

Over the next few days, you will notice some changes as I transition from MB Photo Blog to Red Dog Photo Blog (or simply “rdb”) in honor of Kanga. The old domain (http://mbphotoblog.com) will now redirect to the new domain (http://reddogphotoblog.com). I even designed a logo, which will eventually be incorporated into a watermark for all of my future posts. Please tell me what you think!

Pittsburgh Visit
Several weekends ago, L and I went to Pittsburgh for the Delta Chi 5th year chartering event, which was awesome! While we were there, we had coffee with some of L’s law school friends, and of course, had cupcakes.

Cherry Blossoms and Old Friends
The National Cherry Blossom Festival just ended in DC, and we finally made it downtown to see what was left of the flowers after the mad rush of tourists. Some of L’s friends from law school also came into town this weekend, but unfortunately the blossoms had already peaked, so most of the flowers had already fallen from the trees. Luckily, we made up for it with some good food at Granville Moore’s, which has some of the best mussels in town. It was featured on Throwdown with Bobby Flay, and won. I would highly recommend it if you are in the DC area.

DC Marathon 2010
This morning L ran the DC half-marathon while some of our friends kept me company on the sideline. Here are some of my favorite photos from the event.

This pooch sat quietly the whole time we were on Capitol St.

I have no words to describe how inspiring this runner was.
More photos from the event to come later…
